Type of Dish Dessert
- 15 g Water
- 100 g Brown sugar
- 40 g water (to stop caramel)
- 25 g Butter
- 3 g cinnamon
- 4 bananas (peeled)
- 15 ml dark rum
- 15 ml banana liquor
- Make caramel with 15ml water and 100g sugar, when the caramel is dark brown add the 40ml water to stop the caramel. Add the cinnamon and cook for 5 minutes, keep to the side.
- In a large skillet sauté the bananas for 2 to 3 minutes in half the butter on high flame. Add the dark rum and flambé (burn off the alcohol). Reduce the heat add the remaining butter and the banana liquor mix well.
- Serve the bananas in bowls spoon the sauce on top. Put a large scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of each banana. Serve immediately.
Preparation Time is approxmiately 20 minutes.
